The Chief Election Commissioner of India Sunil Arora along with Election Commissioners of India Sushil Chandra and Rajiv Kumar arrived at Guwahati today with a three-day-long programme to review the poll preparedness for the upcoming assembly election in the State.
The Election Commission of India today held a discussion with Nitin Khade, CEO, Assam and the Police Nodal Officer at a city hotel in Guwahati today.
The Election Commission will hold meetings with political parties, election-related regulatory agencies, District Election Officers and Superintendents of Police, Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, Director General of Police (DGP) and other senior officials during this visit.
The Commission will also address a press conference at the hotel on January 20, 2021, at 12.30 p.m.
